Change or cancel your plan
Move your team to a bigger or smaller plan, switch between monthly and yearly, cancel, or call off a cancellation — and what Sync Pro asks before it does any of it.
Everything about your team's plan is changed from My plans: open it from the Billing group of your team's menu, or press Upgrade in the Plan box at the top of the menu. You need Manage Plans in your role to see it; see Roles and permissions. What each plan includes is in Sync Pro plans.
Each plan card has one button, and its label tells you what it does. Change plan and Cancel ask before they act: a dialog says what is about to happen, and nothing changes until you accept it. Closing the dialog leaves everything as it was.
What the dialog tells you
Before a change of plan, the dialog names the plan and its price for its period — the price agreed with your team, when there is one — and whether something is charged today or the change waits for the end of your current period, with its date.
When the new plan gives less than your team uses — fewer users, fewer contacts served or less storage — the dialog lists each limit with what you use and what the plan allows, and the change is refused until you reduce it. It also names the add-ons your current plan includes that the new one does not, such as the AI assistant connection that comes with Company and Enterprise.
Before a cancellation, the dialog says until when your plan stays active and that you can resume it before that date.
The button on each card
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Subscribe | Starts a subscription to that plan when your team has none. |
| Change plan | Moves your team to that plan: at once to a more expensive one, at the end of your current period to a cheaper paid one. |
| Cancel | On your current paid plan: cancels it at the end of the period already paid. |
| Current Plan | On your current plan when it is Free. Nothing to do. |
| Resume plan | After you cancel, until the end of the period: calls off the cancellation. It acts at once, without a dialog. |
| Starts on and a date | On the cheaper plan you moved to: your plan changes to it on that date. |
| Retry payment | When the payment of your plan failed: charges it again. |
| Not available | On Free while a cancellation is pending, until your paid plan ends. |
Move to a bigger plan
Press Change plan on a plan that costs more and accept the dialog. The change applies at once, and the difference for the rest of the current period is charged straight away to your team's default card. Coming from Free with no card saved, you are taken to a secure payment page instead. If your bank asks you to approve the payment, approve it in the window that opens.
If the card is refused, nothing changes: your team stays on its plan, nothing is left to pay, and the message says what to try next. To pay with another card, see Your payments, receipts and balance.
If you leave the payment page of a first payment without finishing it, your team keeps the plan it had. View payment history shows that payment as Payment pending, with Retry payment to finish it and Abandon to drop it; buying again opens a new payment page.
Move to a smaller plan
Press Change plan on a cheaper paid plan and accept the dialog. Nothing is charged or refunded: your team keeps its current plan until the end of the period already paid, and the new one starts then. Until that date, the card of the new plan reads Starts on and the date.
Moving to Free works like a cancellation: your paid plan stays until the end of the period, and then your team moves to Free.
Before moving to a smaller plan, bring the team within its limits and export what you want to keep; see Your team's files and space.
Switch between monthly and yearly
Choose Monthly or Yearly above the cards, then press Change plan on the plan you want. A change of period applies at once, and the difference is charged straight away. The extras you bought on top of your plan follow the new period; see More users, contacts or space without changing plan.
Cancel, and change your mind
Press Cancel on your current plan and accept the dialog. Your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid, and then it stops renewing. There are no refunds for the part of a period you did not use.
Until that date, Resume plan — on your plan's card, or in View payment history — calls the cancellation off, and your plan renews as usual.
