Your payments, receipts and balance
Where your team's cards, payments, receipts, credit and subscription history are, and how to settle a balance left unpaid.
Your team's plan and its add-ons are charged to a card saved on the team. Both screens in this guide open from the top of My plans, in the Billing group of your team's menu, and need Manage Plans in your role:
- Payment methods — the cards saved on the team.
- View payment history — the subscription, its history, the credit and the payments.
Your cards
Payment methods lists each card with its brand, its last four digits and its expiry date. The card your team is charged on carries Default.
- Press Add payment method.
- Type the card number, the expiry date and the security code in Card details.
- Press Save card. If your bank asks you to confirm the card, follow its steps.
The first card you save becomes the default on its own. A card you add later does not: press Set as default on it to be charged on it. Remove takes a card away; it is not offered on your only card, nor on the default card while your plan is active — add the new card and make it the default first.
When the bank refuses a card, the reason shows under Card details, with what to try next.
Your subscription and its history
View payment history shows your subscription first: its status, your plan, the date of the next payment, and what your plan and add-ons cost you each month at the price you actually pay. A price agreed with your team shows at that agreed amount. View subscription details lists the add-ons in it, with how many of each and, for Additional storage, which tier each line is.
Subscription history lists the latest changes, newest first: each change of plan, add-on, quantity, tier, price or renewal day, each payment and each credit movement, with who made it and what it charged. View full history opens all of them.
Credit balance appears when your team has credit: how much is available, and apart from it the credit a change left on your next invoice, which is discounted from that invoice only.
Your payments and receipts
Latest Payments lists the last payments, newest first, with their date, amount, what each one covered and its status: Paid, Refunded, or Partially refunded with the amount given back. A payment too small to be charged on its own reads To be charged on your next invoice, and Charged on your next invoice once that invoice is paid.
Press View on a payment to open Payment detail: one line for each thing charged, the Adjustment of a change made in the middle of a period, any Credit applied, and the total. Download receipt opens its receipt, ready to save or print.
Settle an outstanding balance
When a payment of your plan keeps failing until its retry days run out, your subscription is cancelled and the amount stays as a balance. While it stands, the team's screens show "You have an outstanding balance. Settle it to keep using your account." with Settle balance, which opens Outstanding balance.
- Press Pay now to charge the whole balance to your default card.
- To pay with a new card, press Use another card — Add a card when the team has none — fill in Card details and press Save card and pay.
When the payment is refused, nothing is charged and the message says what to try next.
A balance smaller than the least that can be charged on its own does not block the team. The page says so, and Pay now adds it to your next invoice instead of charging it at that moment.
Paying the balance does not bring back the subscription that was cancelled: choose a plan again in My plans, as Change or cancel your plan explains.
