Your devices and your password

Confirm your email and phone, change your password, see where your account is signed in, and sign out of one device or of all the others at once.

Everything here is in My Profile, reached from your photo at the top right.

Confirming your email and your phone

Your account carries an email address and can carry a phone number. In General information, each one shows Verified or Not Verified underneath.

To confirm one, press Verify now next to it:

  • For your email, a code is sent to the address. Write it in Validation Code and press Confirm Email.
  • For your phone, choose Send SMS or Receive a call, then write the code you get in Validation Code and press Confirm Code.

If you change your email or your phone, Save does not accept the new one until you confirm it with its code; confirming it is what saves it. If the code does not arrive, check that the address or the number is written the way you meant, look in the spam folder, and ask for it again with Resend code (Resend SMS for a phone).

Sign-in uses it too: if you sign in with an email that is not confirmed yet, Sync Pro sends it a code first.

Changing your password

Password information has two fields: New password and Confirm password. Write the new one in both and press Save. It needs at least eight characters, and it does not ask for your current password. It takes effect immediately; it does not sign you out of your other devices.

Pick something long rather than something complicated. A phrase you will remember beats a short password with symbols you will have to write down somewhere.

Your connected devices

Sync Pro remembers the browsers and phones you have signed in from, so you do not have to type your password every morning. That is convenient right up until a device is lost, or you signed in on a computer that is not yours.

Connected devices lists the devices your account was used on in the last 30 days, one line per browser, system and address. Each line shows its browser and system — Chrome · Windows, for example — the country it connects from when Sync Pro can tell, and its Last activity. The one you are using is marked This device.

  • Disconnect, on any other line, signs out every session in it straight away.
  • Disconnect all other devices, below the list, signs out every device except the one you are using. It appears when there is more than one device, and it asks you to confirm first with Disconnect all.

Use them when:

  • You lost a phone or a laptop that had Sync Pro open.
  • You signed in on a shared or public computer and are not sure you signed out.
  • You just changed your password because you think somebody else knew it.

Nothing is deleted by doing this. The devices you disconnected simply have to sign in again.

Deleting your account

Delete Account, at the bottom of the profile, deletes your account. Press Delete and confirm with Yes, delete my account; it cannot be undone. If you still have an active subscription of your own, Sync Pro does not delete the account and asks you to cancel it first, with a button to Go to plans.
