The Token access module
Connect a WhatsApp number by pasting its token, for numbers the guided connection cannot reach — what it needs, how to switch it on and off, and what happens when it is off.
Most numbers connect to Sync Pro through the guided flow, with nothing to copy by hand. Some cannot: typically the ones owned by the same business that owns the Meta app. The Token access module is for those. It adds a form where you paste the number's credentials from your Business Manager, and from then on the team works exactly as if it had gone through the guided flow.
What it needs
From your Meta Business Manager:
| Field | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp Token | The access token of your Meta app. |
| META WABA ID | The WhatsApp Business Account id. |
| WhatsApp Number ID | The id of the phone number to send from. |
You also need to set the webhook in your Meta app yourself, which the guided flow does for you.
Turning it on and off
The Token access module is free, and your team switches it on itself. Someone whose role has Manage Plans opens Add-ons from the menu, finds Token access and presses Activate; Deactivate, in the same place, switches it off. Whoever administers your Sync Pro can also give it to your team, for good or as a trial, and a plan can include it.
Connecting the number
With the module on, the WhatsApp Configuration section in Settings → Integrations gains a Token access block with the three fields above. Paste them and press Save credentials. Then copy the read-only WhatsApp Webhook address of that same section into your Meta app's webhook configuration.
Only someone whose role has the Edit Settings permission sees the content of Integrations. Treat the token as a password: Sync Pro never shows it again, and to replace the credentials you paste all three again. The full walk-through, and what the connected section shows, is in The WhatsApp module.
When it is off
Turning the module off hides the Token access block. It does not disconnect anything: a number already connected with its token stays connected, and messages keep arriving and leaving as before. To stop using that number, press Disconnect in the same section. Turning the module on again brings the block back, empty, ready to paste new credentials.
