Your profile, your language and your timezone
The name and photo your team sees, your country, the language Sync Pro speaks to you in, and why the timezone changes every time shown on screen.
Your profile belongs to you, not to the team. If you work in two teams, you carry the same name, photo, language and timezone into both.
You reach it from your photo at the top right, under My Profile.
Your name and your photo
The Name in General information is the one your colleagues see next to the messages you sent, and on the list of responsible people for a conversation. Put the name they would call you by, and press Save.
The Profile picture is the round picture at the top right and next to your replies. It is optional; without one you get a plain placeholder. It takes JPG, GIF or PNG, up to 5 MB.
Your country
General information also asks for your country, with your state and city below it. The country is required. Sync Pro usually fills it in from where you connect; when it cannot, it brings you to your profile with Select your country before using your account. until you choose one in Select Country and press Save.
Your language
Sync Pro speaks Spanish or English, and Select language, in Language and time, decides which; press Save under it. It changes the menus, the buttons and the help centre, and it follows you to whatever device you sign in from.
It does not translate anything a person wrote: your conversations, your notes and your templates stay in the language they were written in.
Your timezone
This is the one worth reading twice, because it changes what you see everywhere.
Every date and time in Sync Pro is shown in your timezone: the time under each message, the delivery and reading times in the message information, the dates on the boards, the call records, the scheduled messages. The moment stored is the same for everyone; what changes is the clock it is shown against.
Two things follow from that:
- If your timezone is wrong, every hour on screen is wrong by the same amount, and it will look like messages arrived at odd times.
- Two colleagues in different countries see the same conversation with different times on it, and both are right.
Set it in Select Time zone, in the same Language and time block, to the timezone you actually work in, not the one your company is registered in, and set it before you schedule anything: a message scheduled for nine in the morning means nine in your timezone.
